‘Birds of Prey’ Release Date and Longer Title
The Birds of Prey are back in action and they have someone tagging along.
Actress Margot Robbie shared on her Instagram the front page of the new Birds of Prey shooting script with a reveal that the full title is “Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn).” This movie will see the return Robbie’s Harley Quinn back from the critically despised Suicide Squad. However, Robbie’s performance as Harley Quinn was one of the highlights from the film.
Robbie joins a cast that includes Ewan Mcgregor as Black Mask, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as The Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as as Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain (sometimes known as Batgirl in the comics). The film is expected to start shooting some time this month and wrapping principal photography sometime in April or May. The script is written by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee) and is set to be directed by Cathy Yan with a release date of Feb. 7, 2020.
For those who were worried that the DCEU that we’ve come to know was starting to disintegrate, this should reassure them. With Aquaman performing well and Shazam! looking like it will also be good, it’s safe to say that we will be staying in this DC universe for a while, even if a few actors here and there drop out over time.
