Brie Larson “Captain Marvel” Workout
One of the hardest parts about being an actor/actress can be the intense training to transform your body to play a role. When you play a superhero you have to be in peak physical form. Let’s take a look at Brie Larson’s workout routines and how the training has affected her life.
“Being able to lift weight like that really changed my perspective and understanding of myself.” Larson said. She is lifting up to 215lbs in deadlifts and 400lb hip thrusts. “I will say that I learned that I’m much stronger than I realise in playing her.”
Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige recently told the audience at the CineEurope conference in Barcelona that Brie will become the new face of the Marvel Cinematic Universe next by replacing familiar faces Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor.
Larson stated that the role has been the most surreal moment of her career and understands the pressure and responsibility that comes with it.
“All of this, boils down to more women with keys to power,” she said. “I want to be able to share it with others and make sure that as we move forward, there is inclusivity at the top.”
