Daredevil and Bullseye Confirmed for 2018
For me personally, Daredevil is the one TV show on Netflix that got my attention from episode 1 and one of the best things Marvel has ever done. I LOVED the first season from beginning to end. It was pretty much as perfect a Daredevil TV show could possibly be right down from the casting, story, film making, violence, and overall a sense of realism. This is a very realistic, gritty crime drama yes crime drama! This approach worked perfectly for The Dark Knight trilogy, it worked perfectly for Daredevil. Frank Miller’s original groundwork The Man With No Fear was the inspiration for this show and while some people had a problem with the costume, it built up the anticipation for the big reveal at the end. The second season costume was better I will admit that. This movie also did us fans the curtesy of washing out the bad taste that was 2003’s Daredevil. While I didn’t mind Ben Affleck in the role, he was a far better Batman when you compare the two. That movie had so many inconsistencies with the overall acing (Collin Farrell was great as Bullseye), plot and the way it was directed. Charlie Cox is magnificent as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Vincent D’onoffrio rides the line of brilliance as Wilson Fisk. Season 2 was still epic because of the intro of Frank Castle aka The Punisher but it suffered from an imbalance in the story-telling. It was like the film makers didn’t know who to focus on – Frank Castle or Elektra as the antagonist. The plot got out of hand at times, but still featured some amazing action sequences reminiscent of season 1, episode 2’s Cut Man. Of Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, Daredevil prides itself on being the best of those shows to feature the finest action sequences.
After The Defenders was considered an overall disappointment, the only thing that came to mind was when will we finally see Daredevil season 3? That date is rapidly approaching! I was originally thinking 2019 but nope! Filming is going on and it should land on Netflix Fall 2018! But what’s even more exciting is that we will finally get to see Bullseye, the most iconic Daredevil icon next to Wilson Fisk. As mentioned before, Collin Farrell was memorable in 2003 as Bullseye and a true test of skill for The Man with No Fear. He’s a deadly marksman with both guns, knives, and pins, he never misses, and he’s an expert in hand-to-hand combat. In the comics, Wilson Fisk’s love interest Vanessa Marianna hires Bullseye as a means to hunt and kill Daredevil. The film crew has been very careful not to make any big reveals in the casting notes. One mystery character that’s now part of the cast is Wilson Bethel, who is described in the show as –
Socially awkward but athletic
The character was also teased as being a wrench in the fight between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk. Wilson Bethel’s name in the show is Steve and his role is an FBI agent. Not quite the description for Bullseye as is in the comics but perhaps the show is continuing its track record of making a more grounded approach to Daredevil. In fact, the filmmakers said that they wanted to focus on making a crime drama, not a superhero show which sets this one apart from most.

There’s also a post that came from Twitter from Naqam Washington’s profile showing a workout picture at an unknown gym of Charlie, Naqam, and Wilson. There’s a hashtag at the end that has #Bullseye in the caption so there’s that. The pic doesn’t show an obvious Bullseye on the forehead of Wilson that would be too easy. The image could be done by some intense makeup or from a scar that depicts a bullseye. Perhaps he doesn’t get his bullseye till closer to the end of the show, kind of like Daredevil donning the costume in the fight with Fisk in the last episode. We can only speculate at this point. What we can count on are some truly grueling action scenes to take between these two powerful human beings. Fisk took a back seat in season 2 which was a let-down so hopefully season 3 can bring us back to the amazing greatness that was season 1.
What do you guys think? What was your favorite Marvel Netflix show? Are you ready for Bullseye?
